Allow Texans to register to vote online, closer to Election Day, and automatically while conducting governmental transactions

Adopt voting machine standards that include voter-verifiable paper receipts and post-election audits

Modify the existing high school voter registration law to make it easier for schools to comply and ensure eligible Texan is offered the opportunity to register to vote from the earliest possible moment

Oppose the confirmation of interim Secretary of State Ruth Hughs

Restore the right to vote to formerly incarcerated individuals

Allow student and tribal ID’s to be used for voting

Require poll sites to be located on large college campuses

Require colleges to offer voter registration to incoming students

OPEN GOVERNMENT

Strengthen disclosure requirements of the Texas Public Information Act

Require personal financial statements to be posted online

REPRESENTATION

Create an independent commission to draw all legislative and congressional districts

Oppose any and all attempts to gerrymander districts for state or congressional offices

Oppose any attempt to use citizen voting age population – rather than total population – to draw districts

Improve civics education standards to ensure that every student receives the education necessary to effectively participate in our democracy.
